Jottings
Did you know you can create a really beautiful ceremony to mark the move to a new home. This might involve family and close friends and include offering some sort of blessing in each room.
According to theologian Tom Driver rituals are primarily instruments designed to change a situation. They transform one state of being into another.

Ceremonies of the Heart
This site is for anyone who would like help in creating and holding a ceremony that feels personal and meaningful to them.
This might be to celebrate the birth of a baby, the coming together of two people in marriage or civil partnership, or the honouring and letting go of someone close who has died. Or it may be to mark one of the many moments in our lives that feel significant to us, moving into a new home perhaps or the transition of retirement.
Freedom to choose
Often, we don't realise just how much freedom we have to choose exactly what feels right for us, especially in the case of weddings, funerals and child namings.
We often think that we are limited to a religious ceremony that may not feel entirely relevant, or a humanist or civil ceremony that may not be able to include anything "religious" or "spiritual". What we would really like often falls in between the two.
You might want your ceremony to include prayers and hymns in a private chapel or be as simple as the releasing of a handful of balloons and the reading of a poem in your own garden. You may want a "spiritual" or "religious" element. You may not.
I am happy to work with people of all faiths and none. It is always my intention to help you find and put together a ceremony that best reflects your beliefs and values and will be completely personal to you.
On this site
On this site you will find information about me, my training with The Interfaith Foundation and the ceremonies that I help to create.
I have also included some of the comments people have made about their ceremonies, a selection of my own resources and links to other sites that you might find useful.
